Instrumentation and Electrical Technician

Panel Specialists, Inc is looking to hire full-time, experienced pneumatic & electrical technicians! We are looking for candidates with 4+ years of successful experience in electrical or oil/gas work. We offer competitive pay and full benefits.

  • Responsibilities/Tasks:

    • Install, maintain, modify and repair all electrical control panel systems, relief valves and associated electrical equipment
    • Inspect and test components of pneumatic and PLC systems, including transformers, transfer switches and switch gears
    • Complete work orders and record material utilized on jobs
    • Utilize blueprints, wiring diagrams and manufacturer's installation manuals to complete assigned projects
    • Survey electrical systems, circuits and plans
    • Availability to work on-call or weekends
  • Skills and Requirements:

    • High school diploma/GED required
    • 4+ years' experience in the electrical trade
    • Able to work well on a team
    • Capable of lifting and carrying a minimum of 40 pounds without assistance
    • Excellent hand-eye coordination
    • Strong interpersonal communication skills
    • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
    • Must be able to pass DISA pre-hire drug screen
    • TWIC card or ability to attain one
    • Read and Interpret P&ID drawings
    • Bend conduit and or stainless steel tubing (All Sizes)
    • Troubleshoot electrical and pneumatic control panels successfully and independently
    • Must be able and willing to go offshore
    • Must have experience coordinating with customers on job locations in order to successfully complete scope of work.
    • Assign job tasks and responsibilities to other PSI employees to complete projects as safely and efficiently as possible.

Pressure Safety Valve Technician

Panel Specialists, Inc is looking to hire a full-time, experienced PSV (Relief Valve) Technician! We are looking for candidates with 2+ years of successful experience in relief valves and related equipment or oil/gas work. We offer competitive pay and full benefits.

  • Responsibilities/Tasks:

    • Keep organized, accurate and clean test report record to turn into office at the end of each job
    • Must be familiar with various forms of pressure testing of valves
    • Must be familiar with different manufacturers Pressure Safety valves
    • Must be able to run a relief valve testing and inspection project independently or with other members of the PSI team
    • Availability to work on-call or weekends
  • Skills and Requirements:

    • High school diploma/GED required
    • 2+ years' experience in the electrical trade
    • Able to work well on a team
    • Capable of lifting and carrying a minimum of 40 pounds without assistance
    • Excellent hand-eye coordination
    • Strong interpersonal communication skills

    • Able to pass pre-employment drug test

Technician

Panel Specialists, Inc is looking to hire full-time, experienced Shop/ Field Technician! We are looking for candidates with 1-2+ years of successful experience in electrical or oil/gas work. We offer competitive pay and full benefits.

  • Responsibilities/Tasks:

    • Set Pressure Verification on PSVs in shop
    • 3rd Party Gauge Calibrations in shop
    • Re-Build PSVs as needed
    • Accurately fill out test certificates/ documentation for work performed
    • Wire electrical PLC based control panels based on drawing provided (in shop)
    • Wire electrical relay based control panels based on drawing provided (in shop)
    • Travel to job-sties to install or troubleshoot simple electrical control systems or to make simple electrical tie ins.
    • Utilize blueprints, wiring diagrams and manufacturer's installation manuals to complete assigned projects
    • Availability to work on-call or weekends
    • Candidate MUST be willing and able to go offshore (15% of the time) to complete call out work as needed.
  • Skills and Requirements:

    • High school diploma/GED required
    • 2-3+ years' experience in the electrical trade
    • Able to work well on a team
    • Capable of lifting and carrying a minimum of 40 pounds without assistance
    • Must be willing to climb if necessary
    • Excellent hand-eye coordination
    • Strong interpersonal communication skills
    • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
    • Read and Interpret P&ID drawings
    • Troubleshoot simple electrical control systems independently. Must be able to use a FLUKE Process Meter
    • Must have experience coordinating with customers on job locations in order to successfully complete scope of work.
    • TWIC card or ability to acquire a TWIC card
